there ain't no motive for this crime
I'm a little happy with this batch, actually. O_o The colors are vivid 8D I...hate the grayscale, though. And the Ghost Hunt icons are strangely disappointing. Apollo Justice, Gakuen Alice, and the DOGS ones scattered in there really turned out the best.

Finally, finally, finally might have the Elincia fic done, after...seven months. Seven months. I can't believe it. Well, it did turn out to be over 7,000 words...but, uhm, yeah. Except I'm not happy with it, because my writing style really did change too much after...those things happened, so the fic is an obvious mesh of two slightly different things.

Must study more Chinese and Japanese, asdlkgjkdjg. Though the tutoring really has helped my Chinese in small leaps and bounds.

I might be a little tired.

Hahahahahaha, seven months.

...Hahahaha, "might be a little." I like it.

And yes, icons. ;3 Commented...sorta...the other post. 8D

Yeah. And I thought the Gunslinger Girl fic was bad enough. Whoops...and those other unfinished oneshots on my hard drive will obviously be even worse. Though I wasn't opening those and working on them sporadically and continuously, I suppose.

Like what, the wording or the fact that I'm tired? -_-

8D;;;;;;

XDDD

The wording. *rolls eyes*

At least you know how I work by now. 8D

Hey, I wouldn't know. I'm pretty sure I know some people who'd go, "yes, tired is good! now you won't be an insomniac and won't need those pills!" So it never hurts to check.

Hey, look, Elincia icon! Maybe I'll post tonight. Dunno. 8D
Raerae00 on August 21st, 2008 01:22 pm (UTC)
>_>

Hahahaha. Well, yeah, tired can be good. But I've been at "tired but not sleepy," which is...bad. I think I'm there right now.

Whoa, that was fast. Post...?
a regular decorated emergency.: GS - Athrun/Cagallidarkenedsakura on August 21st, 2008 03:32 pm (UTC)
Does it warrant a '>_>'? 8D;;

Tired's never good. Tired doesn't necessarily correlate with 'able to fall asleep', and it just means your brain feels drugged. Yeah, I'm always like that. But today I only had 4-5 hours of sleep before getting dragged out shopping by the parents for junk, which didn't help, and so I crashed sometime in the afternoon when we got home. Gah.

Individual icons tend to be fine; batches are slow. :D And the fic, what else 8D
Raerae00 on August 21st, 2008 09:09 pm (UTC)
Yes. Yes it does. >_>

Aa...Ha, ow. XD;;; At least when my schedule goes funky, it's usually my fault. Somehow.

XDD...wait, DDX. Hahahaha. Anything else, knowing you. But fic, mm.

8D ? ;;;;

Well, yes, it was my choice to stay up until 5am (hopefully it helped mend a few things, I dunno), but yeah. Goddamn shopping. At least I now have luggage for coming back to the US? -_-

Ahahahahahaha, nice catch. And eh, anything? Related to Elincia? Not really. Unless you didn't see those two sentences as related, in which case...never mind. I can sound sporadic sometimes. And yes, fic is finally up. :D Now I can focus on the A/C which knowing me might not end up being wholly happy A/C because, uh, I suck with pairings. And hm, I dunno...we've said 'eh.' to the slice of life thing, but what if it's...slice of life according to a life with political intrigue and subterfuge? *clearly cannot think nf a big central plot involving several Big Bad/Conflicted Guys 8D*
Raerae00 on August 24th, 2008 03:48 am (UTC)
*rolls eyes*

XD;;;;;; ...oh yeah, luggage. Er. Somehow I'm supposed to stuff two weeks of clothing plus junk into one carry-on and one "personal item"...

I thought so too. Provided I was thinking at all. 8D Ha...whatever you just said. Hahahahaha. Sounds fine to me. I really don't care if it has a "big central plot," so long as you wrote and I get to read it. And ahahahahah, "not wholly happy." ....Hahaha. I should stop now before you shoot me. 8D

-Do you have an icon for every situation? :o
a regular decorated emergency.: Natsume - and the world turns reddarkenedsakura on August 24th, 2008 12:54 pm (UTC)
....?

Eh, you have a limit on what you can bring? Personal item? Eh? I'm bringing two travel-size suitcases for sure...I mean, even just visiting the US, I have at least one of those things.

XD And I dunno. I have a few scenes and a lot of ideas floating around right now, but nothing that really gives me a direction. Stuck, basically. Plus everything else right now and doubt in my characterization. And yeah, not wholly happy. I know, I know, I should give my favorite characters a break. Ah well. And I'm too tired to shoot you right now, don't worry.

Eh? When I'm happy I find that I don't have an appropriately happy icon, and when I'm sad there doesn't seem to be a sad enough icon. Unless you mean fandom, in which case...while watching SEED, I made a bunch more icons like that one. 8D
Raerae00 on August 24th, 2008 02:22 pm (UTC)
Never mind...

We're trying to avoid having actual luggage, since I'm only going one state over and the baggage claim things in airports are always a pain.

XD;;;; Ah, I was just amused at the understatement. I really don't care what you do to them s'long as it makes for an interesting story.

Yeah, I meant fandoms. Emoticons rarely fit emotions, despite their name. And hahaha.
a regular decorated emergency.: Chasedarkenedsakura on August 24th, 2008 03:09 pm (UTC)
.......D8?

Oh, I see. Eh. If I were you, I'd bring one actual suitcase anyway. I don't think you're really going to be able to make the tight squeeze fit. ^^;

8D Out of the three...four? main canon pairings, they truly do have the most problems and their end at the end of DESTINY is the most questionable, so...yeeeeees. I dunno, honestly. I don't see them exactly riding off into the sunset. :(

Ahaha. Well, of course I have icons for all my favorite fandoms. Otherwise, that's why I -make- them. :P Man, I'm completely going to whip out a ton more GS/D ones, if only for Athrun and Kira and Cagalli. Totally shallow, yes, but. 8D

Ha, yeah, I guess we'll see. Still need to purge my closet. I actually have maybe five shirts; the rest are just in there as buffers so Mom wouldn't make me go shopping. 8D *has more books than clothes in closet*

Hahahahaha. If you ever come to like a couple who 'lives happily ever after,' I will have you scanned for signs of alien abduction. Or something.

XDDD I won't say anything s'long as I get to swipe some. >D ...Not that I've changed my icon in months, or plan to now. XD;
a regular decorated emergency.: Veronica - musicdarkenedsakura on August 25th, 2008 03:48 pm (UTC)
Sigh.

Only five shirts, eh. Even I beat that. ...Actually, okay, I have a lot more than five shirts; dress shirts, t-shirts, all the damn school shirts I had to have...*gnashes teeth* My closet's more full of clothes I never touch, but...ahaha. Mmn, come to think of it, no I don't really have all that many books. Some of them are in the loft, but they're just the classics that I bought because mom prodded me to buy something at the book fair here. They have a shortage of good English language books at those things.

Hm, but I'm sure there's at least one pairing I like that has that...well, support, definitely, but like a lot...hmmmm...let me think. Would Kyon/Haruhi have a chance at relative more-happiness-than-all-my-other-pairings? (damn, the strikethrough wipes out dashes. I forgot about that.) Maybe Natsume/Mikan and Tsubasa/Misaki, but maybe not. Errrr. Well, probably all the shoujo series pairings...hm. They're rare, aren't they. 8D

:D *sweatdrops* Well, at least you can live with that; personally, I don't think I could do without the userpics add on that I've bought. Ahaha. Oh well, comes from being a graphics-y person, I guess.

Ookay, so, purged closet. I have more clothing than I thought. XD; *vision distorted by knowledge that I'm going to have to carry most of it* XD;;;;;; I don't know how I'd manage without that many books. My room has two bookcases, and another built into the closet. They're empty now because of purging, but I'm still taking quite a few books with me.

XDDDDDDD

Hahahaha. I've actually been tempted to change mine several times, but am too lazy to go looking for a replacement. Oh well, comes from being a computer programmer, I guess.

...XDDDD Whoa, and you're bringing that many books? Dear god, I hope you're not using just carry-on luggage any more. And...am I the only one who's really packing sparsely? I mean, I really have just clothes and toiletries, and the electronics. O_o Then books for Japanese/Chinese, a few art supplies. You guys are all making me start to think I should bring a lot more or something. O_o

And even the shoujo pairings are very...hahahahahaha. Yeah, well. 8D

Yes, yes, and we've established that mine comes from being an artist who has too many favorites to be able to whittle it down between any of them. Whee indecisiveness and clingyness.
Raerae00 on August 28th, 2008 08:12 pm (UTC)

Spent today buying more clothing, as if I didn't have enough junk. Powers That Be, I hate shopping for clothing. The girls' section is out of the question, women's only works if it's athletic, men's is too big, and boys' is too small. One of these days I'm going to be rich enough to afford my own tailor. -_-;

Anyway, I'm not actually taking that much. Somewhere between one and two weeks of clothing (more toward "one" if I can convince my mom that I'll do laundry more than once every two weeks - I won't, but she doesn't need to know that. 8D), some miscellaneous favorite books (maybe...ten? not very many, whatever it is), and some random junk like my backpack and mp3 player. And of course my laptop. <3 (Yes, laptop gets its own sentence. 8D)

XDDDDDDDDDDDD Yeah. Well. ...XDD

Mm-hm...Maybe we should each take a page out of the other's book. XD;

...-_-

Ahahahahahahaha. Or you could just come here to Shanghai. Mom wants me to get a bunch of collared shirts made before I leave, since I'm so picky about them and sometimes they can be hard to find for an affordable price here. Ah, when all you wear are collared dress shirts, t-shirts, cargo pants, and trenchcoats. 8D

Ha, I'm not surprised. I'll probably have more than two weeks of clothing, but I'll just deal with whatever mom shoves into my suitcases. In the end, I'll probably end up having even more than you XD I'm taking two suitcases, and mom's having dad take another one for me. Though, I'm also bringing some stuff for some people in Michigan and for my aunt and uncle, so...eh, who knows.

Well, maybe one day I will like a pairing that gets a happy ending. ...A semi-happy ending? I suppose ambiguous could fit that as well? 8D

I'd still be clingy no matter what. 8D Though I did clean out my icons a little - to make room for more.
Raerae00 on August 30th, 2008 07:54 am (UTC)
...8D

You too? Though in my case less dress shirts and cargo pants and more polos and jeans - because those're the only acceptable kinds in the stores around here. And ha, I figured it wouldn't be a very good idea to take a trench to college right about now, so I'm going to leave mine here. I got a another coat, though, that's shorter but otherwise pretty much a copy of it.

Oh gods no. If I let my mom do all the packing, the bag's'd weigh a million pounds. And the contents wouldn't fit in my new closet, however big it is. Oriental packing FT...something. Eh, and I have some anime to return to the family friend who lives in the area, but I think we're going to wait for another time. I'll be flying back and forth a fair amount anyway.

XDDDDD

Hahahahahahaha. Yeah, uh, I don't do clingy. Except with certain things, which I'm very possessive of; but those're few and far between. Icons aren't one of 'em. XD;
a regular decorated emergency.: Natsume - and the world turns reddarkenedsakura on August 30th, 2008 06:43 pm (UTC)
Argh. -_-

Eh, dress shirts are the one thing that's okay from the women's sections. Though come to think of it, I didn't really wear them as my pseudo-jackets in the US when I was there. And eh, not a good idea? Why's that? But hm...I guess technically my trenchcoats are more dressy/formal than that, and aren't full length. My closet's full of completely clashing clothes like that. Should be fun. 8D

Ahahaha. Well, unfortunately for me, my mom will be stuffing in as many clothes as she can. And if I try to pack by myself, she'll say that I'm not doing it right...even though when I don't do it, she complains about how I'm a lazy bum who doesn't do anything. Mrph. And yeah, same here re: flying around. At least that's one thing the damn company will cover. They paid for the $20,000 for attending SAS for my brother and me; why not chip in for university? Sigh. Though I guess the attending SAS thing was a bit mandatory.

8D

I'm clingy with everything. I'm pretty much a packrat. Hell, you know how I am with my depression also. What can I say, I like hanging onto everything 8D;;;;;
Raerae00 on August 30th, 2008 07:23 pm (UTC)
8D

Mm, well, different countries. And stores, probably. ...XD; College campus shootings much? You wear a trench and the campus police quietly pull you over and ma'am-excuse-us-while-we-make-sure-you're-not-carrying-a-semi-auto. Or at least, I'd hope they would. Though in my case I'm going to be doing a lot of biking, which doesn't really go with trenches anyway. Ahahahahahaha.

XD;;;;; The wonders of conflicting standards. Mmph; so I take it the final verdict is you're going to have to pay for college yourself?

XD

XDDDDD Now, hm, does that mean if you can cure yourself of being clingy, you will also let go of your depression...?

More like I didn't figure that they'd be nice to wear until I got here, dunno why. I think I got one as a gift or something. And eh, I thought that was the reason re: trenchcoats, but I wasn't quite sure. And ahahaha, I'm planning more on walking, but since the winters there will be sort of brutal, I think they won't mind big coats quite as much. I hope. 8D

Yeah, pretty much. And I'm still on the family's health insurance, so that saves...the $1200 charge or so. Meh.

Ahahahaha...oh, don't you wish. That's a different kind of problem.

Ha, yeah, different schools, different climates. CA tends to be 70 degrees on a bad day. 8D Winter'll probably colder than I'm used to, though; down here in the valley we almost never get snow.

Ditto, yeah. Though I'm not sure how it's going to work cross-state...

Don't you wish?

Where in CA is Stanford, again? And hahaha, colder than you're used to doesn't mean much, does it. 8D

As for me, I'm going to trust that the company will have it figured out since we're, well, living abroad. I mean, we can only go to places that accept expatriate health insurance, so.

'Don't you wish' is my knee-jerk to any statement that goes along the lines of "now, if we just did that..." or, "if only you could..."

8D Er, twice that I remember...I think...Once in kindergarten, and once in middle (or high? maybe three times) school. Melted the next day. Though we've had black ice before.

Mm. Practical but probably not healthful. Oh well.
